Hi Mick, with the diode plug, the energy from the discharge capacitor comes to switch and discharge. No extra energy is required for the control as it is classic. There will be losses here as well. I have the feeling that the losses are to be found in the diodes and thyristors in the internal resistance. And there can not compete Mosfet or igbt. Hello Mick, I uploaded everything here. It always changes what exactly I can not keep up with that in writing. The inductors are indeed separated only by a diode, nothing more. And the flyback diodes are only added Circuit technology is not an issue. regards Sven
