 I can remember in 1955 in Asheville NC going down the road in a 55 chevy pickup Lightning was all over the place like that then it decided to hit a Transformer on a pole right beside us and knocked the transformer slap dab off the pole I have had a lot of close encounters with it down through the years .I had a huge Oak tree in front of my house for years and lightning would hit it and burn something out in My house every time it would hit that tree .I cut the tree down 15 years ago even though I have other trees close to the House and have until this date never had another strike .
