SvenThis is not a schematicI borrowed a pen and paper to try to show how the components look and are hooked up.12v battery, 120 volt 60hz inverter, 5 amp Variac, 120 volt AC in, set to 35 volts out, simply because some of the motors were marked 40 volts. With these DC motors, this means nothing except the rpm range that that motor runs at in the application it is being used for.Using them as high torque servos running at slow speed, just use bigger motors at lower voltages. It seems, from my wing generator experience, that they just make general use motors, and you supply the voltage it needs to run for your application. Most of my motors came with optical readers on one end of the shaft, which I did not use, as normally I just needed stupid generators making DC amperage from the wind.I hope my sketch is of some help.Cheers Warren,
