since one was supposed to saturate a coil to harvest the more energy, I had thought of not running a transformer in push pull with SCR discharges from a capacitor, much like the diode plug transformer.
I'm trying to set up with a MOT as a high voltage source that can be controlled via a VARIAC.
At the MOT secondary is connected a 1600V FWBR charging a 1200V 15μF capacitor. I wanted to discharge this energy via a transformer and experiment with the capacitance values and the voltage. First I only wanted to switch with a SCR and later in Pushpull operation with 2 scr and 2 capacitors.
About a SG3525 IC I wanted to generate an alternating signal to trigger the SCRs in a uniform change.
