I have not been able to replicate it either.
I bought a couple of identical strobe circuits. They work fine as flashers on 12 volts, and are the same as Hector' s pictures.
I don 't remember a coil? What coil?
I just assumed that I am too unskilled to make it work, and flash itself.

I have hauled this heavy chunk of three phase laminated steel and copper around across to here where I am just beginning to be able to work on stuff.
My buildings needed roofs , and walls and foundations and floors.
Then mounds of debris had to be removed.
It is hard to believe this is only the beginning of our second Summer here, in the country, away from urban chaos.
When I sort out this Samsung motor thing, I think solid state may be next.
I can't emphasize how good it is to have a shop starting, to again, be up, and running, so I can make things, once more!
Please bear with me as I get back to the coil banging of that transformer.
