But first water is not H and or O.
a ferrite magnet is 'magnetised' by a 'coiled' Field interaction from the flow of DC acting upon the 'matrices' of the Ferrite material. The Magnetic Field induces a Field of Magnetism, 'permanently' in the ferrite material. I say it reactivates the Memory of the Bio Field origins of Iron.
A JoeCell Field Generator induces a Field in the water that Magnetizes the water. Makes water a Liquid Magnet instead of Ferrite magnet. It will also magnetise any iron in the water to make the 2 magnet motor. The bubbles are magnetic Air. Or Hypercharged water vapor. The action of Field Generation is induced by placing one or more Neutral plates between the electrode plates. Neutral plates do not have electricity connected to them.
Browns gas has all the plates hooked up to electrodes.
In that Boyce design, of 61 plates or 4 groups it APPEARS that every plate was either cathode or anode. It would also appear that each was sort of independent of each other thus each produced its own 'field' and there were multiple interacting fields. but with no neutral plates. So theres a Field Interaction generated to charge the water better than just one gang of cathodes and anodes. It made more charged bubbles this way and with an 'added' Field Charge exhibited 4 times the energy.
And yes size and shape and number or the Geometry of the Field Generated is all related.
One does NOT need an electrolyte if theres Neutral plates.
It is impossible to understand what electricity does to water if one continues to think in terms of the gases as 'elements'.
Its easy to blow yourself up when using Neutral plates as Master Bates found. Using this Field Science to run an ICE is not smart. An ICE works on the principle of heat from burning Oxygen expanding the Nitrogen in the air. More Nitrous Oxide means more N and More Power. Using hypercharged water vapour as an additive to expand the Nitrogen and push the piston down is kinda DUMB. The petrol is only a catalyst to extract O energy from the Atmosphere. The catalyst ends up as a gas and we call it Carbon monoxide. Its frequency has been changed by the release of O energy.
Did that confuse you sufficiently to understand water is Not H and O yet? It is unfortunate I have to use the term oxygen to explain it. Replace O and H with Positively charged water vapor and Negatively charged water vapor.

Adding DC current to ANYTHING even a gang of stainless steel plates will change the properties of the metal. It clearly changes the properties of Ferrite blocks.
But "maximum efficiency" is purely speculative as Boyce has no concept of what efficient is when making hypercharged water vapors and controlling the Polarity of the Field when doing so.

Do you mean putting the plates in series like in the water splitters of Bob Boyce and calling the plates between the input electrodes neutral? A series coupling of plates or capacitors only distributes the electric field between all the plates which doesn't make them neutral. Doing it this way makes it possible to use higher voltage without wasteful heating of the water. I.e. the efficiency is higher as more of the power is used to split the water instead of heating it.

Oh and Norm.... Joe and I discussed Browns gas many times. Joe used his welder in a hospital once to weld a shattered leg bone back together negating pins etc. It cuts and welds depending upon how the tip is held in relation to the job being done. Its the same gas as Master Bates Showed and Telled. Browns gas would be a whole lot better if the hundred or so plates inside only had 2 of the plates electrified. They couldnt get past the electron thing and considered every plate must produce bubbles to get max performance. Joecellers know the neutral plates produce MORE bubbles.
