I'm not sure about pulling it out of the ground I always thought that till
I found out its just like a AM hi freq radio .and its a tank circuit just
like a radio .so when tuned it captures the frequency in the loop .or it
looks that way .it may pull from the ground to make up the other half of
the wave form .
