Hi Norm,
I had a friend, who is a historian, check out old Peregrinus, and it
turns out that he's the guy who first recognized magnetic "poles" as
such, and labelled them.  Later, he invented the graduated and
calibrated compass!  Wonder why history has all but forgotten him?
I'll bring the info to the next meeting...btw, when is it?
