Hey NormanI have 00 welding cable if I can find something solid in the Tesla coil to hook to.I have the ability to set the frequency of the discharges, but you say no discharge, then what is normally done to adjust the best condition for maximum ground current, and how does one usually meter this, so you know what you are doing?Cheers Warren

Warren, this is one point that all coiler totally ignore.  D.C. Cox and I were discussing Tesla's approach to the wireless transmission of power and the fact that large ground currents exist when the Tesla coil is properly tuned (No extraneous discharges from elevated terminal capacitance) and a deep firm earth ground is present.  He said he tried to use some ZIP cord to provide an earth ground to a running coil. The ZIP cord went up in smoke.  Ha! Ha!. You have to use a good size copper cable to bond to earth ground.   Remember that a step-up transformer is also a step down transformer and the induction in reverse back into the primary has considerable power that is going into the ground.   Now you can keep your shop warm.  Lol

Whoah Norman!

Circulating CURRENTS on the ground? Does that mean one can capture that current, for instance, by induction? What is the nature of the Tesla coil  ground signal? Now, I do have a reasonable sized working Tesla coil. Can't remember the ground much.  Iyýò would be cool to get power out without Lenz Cheers Warren

Mick And Warren, One thing that Tesla stressed was that the upper capacitive element of the transmission tower should never arc for that was just a waste of power. By name it is a terminal capacitor.   All of the literature shows giant arcs eminating from the Wardencliff Tower which is totally wrong.  The reason for the firm grip on mother earth was to transmit as much power as possible into the earth ground network  to be received by tuned receiver oscillators firmly grounded also.    Everyone whom ever built a Tesla Coil shoots for the longest possible arc for show.  I'll never forget what D.C. Cox told me about the very heavy circulating currents in the earth ground of a properly tuned Tesla Coil.   No one even pays attention to this point.  Please refer to Zenneck Waves which are propogated on the earth surface which is what Corum Boys are doing down at Milford. TX.

Warren,

Great creative use of resources as always but..

You are overlooking one thing, according to Tesla a top load should not arc.  So when we want to derive the capacitive reactance and very special phase modulation antenna all in one from the sphere it is super important to have a very polished surface for equal loading.  I spoke to a retired air force electronics guru.  He said they were making giant spheres and the rough machining was a surface with less than 10 thousandths variation.  He said the finish polish work was classified above his level.  He would not tell me what it was, if he knew and couldn't say I don't know.  I have a good idea it was one of the field drive spheres from a saucer or similar electrogravitic device.

Hector has been preaching for years about the simplicity and joy to be found with big balls.....as capacitors.
One doesn't need those stainless steel versions, although they are pretty neat. Blow up vinyl balls covered with peel and stick tape, or even contact cement, and aluminum foil, work just as effectively. Set them on some inflated inner tubes to mount them away from conductors. They can be portable, and sure store a lot easier. Cheers Warren

Hi Norm,

This Bigelow guy is as long winded as Davison.   Interesting I first found that book on some old book site but likely came from your expensive edition, thank you for making that public!  Concerning the link, I couldn't take it after he spoke of the electret and then refused to name it.  May have to get back to it sometime but I hate people who dangle carrots and snatch them away.  I would be interested however in a Norm version of the story, quick concise and easy to digest.
That Davison book is so strange because whenever I read it I seem to derive some sort of insight that seems important at the time which I very quickly forget which is uncharacteristic.  Most of what I read I securely store in long term memory.

So far my guess without re-reading the PSoM The sphere is a hybrid capacitor of sorts, based on the fact the inside is ceramic coated and perhaps filled with hydrogen , the outside is the ferrous metal being saturated/pumped via some energy sourced by a secret electret concoction that may or may not be beezwax and carnuba.  Via the electret charge (could be with static electricity as you said we are dealing with so called soft particles or a better name for the phenology may be slow electrons) he may have created a reconnect phenomenon between the shell and the gas center similar when I pumped my plasma tube and it spun the compass wildly and cooked my protected timer circuits as if the crowbar protection was non existent.

As above so below, expanding you view of magnetic flux.
Moray, My Friend, time has come based on my studies of the Anti-parallel Magnetic Flux Annihilation-Reconnect phenomenon in plasma's that we come to the realization that the same principles of solar plasma applies likewise to down to earth examples.  As You have found in your study of nano plasma in micro cavitation which was clearly demonstrated with My Sonodiffuser, we see the fundamentals of plasma ,magnetic flux formation, reconnect event with the release of photon in the UV/ blue region. All the studies of nonlinear cold plasma tend to verify your findings.  See:

It is critical that we understand the components of the magnet flux field and how the conversion into kinetic energy occurs when reconnect happens.

Your counter vortex situation:

Based on lab studies of re-connection in plasma, the precise angular relationship had been determined for the counter flow magnetic current sheets to annihilate due to Alfvin wave compression with subsequent re-connection and release of photon kinetic energy.

Moray, your comment regarding the counter-rotating magnetic field possibly creating the reconnect phenomenon goes way back to a dialog that many of us on the old KeelNet had with Tom Bearden where he proposed the very same idea.  This all steamed from the works of Karl Schappeller and the published " The Physics of the Primary State of Matter by Cyril Davson in 1955.  Tom had provided us with a manuscript of the book but a critical chapter was missing. Bearden told me that a copy of the very rare book was in a Boston Book Store. I purchased the signed ,autographed copy for $450 and let Jerry Decker scan, copy it to be sold on CD to the Keely Net followers.   It is now available to all through Amazon.Com.

Good article!

Rapidly counter rotate two powerful attracting magnets that are nearly touching (N to S). The resulting field lines' disconnections/reconnections might be one hell of a ZPE activator! (Especially at high rotation speeds)
