Warren,

There are things to be said for the city as for meeting diverse
intelligent people spanning many talents and skillsets.  In the country
it can get a bit lonely but it's nice to be secluded from noise
pollution and traffic.  Lucky you have a gorgeous Yacht so can still
experience the amazing harbors abutting the citiscapes with the
occasional bohemian parlor still existing.  But things have changed, for
me the 70's was the epitome of the music scene.  People cared about not
going to war more than imaginary genders and young people dropped acid
not prozac.  Many of the travelers today go around drugged out and
panhandling and think they are replicating the 60's but don't really get
it. Even some of the most drugged out hippies of old often had some mad
skill with carpentry, luthiering or musicianship. The modern only seem
to posture and pretend, no depth something missing...  So yeah don't wax
nostalgic because there is so much missing now as the human race
devolves itself.

Most seriously unless we create some kind of renaissance via free nrg or
antigrav, something really far out to reinvigorate the explorer builder
human soul and bring it back out from within, unless this happens the
Brave New World future seems imminent and unavoidable as the patterns of
life imitating art are already quite apparent.

I am happy you had such a great time with great amazing people and can
look back fondly on those interactions.  Here's to changing the world
back to fantastic, salud!
