I don't think Bedini ever tried the rotovertor. 
Ceramic bearings look around you can get them fairly cheap go for thin ones less fricton.... for your two Chinese motors and your large skills it would be fun to use two very cheap ceramic skateboard bearings end to end so they can support more weight than designed for and machine your motor's rotor shaft ends down to 5/16" and replace the bearings with these each end for total of 4 bearings needed...you would need to make some sort of doughnut spacer to fill in the space as those skateboard bearings are 7/8" outside diameter...
If that 5/16 seems too skinny find on eBay 1/2^ inside diameter bearings maybe 30 bucks or less each and do machining needed for that...anyways just ideas when you get back to it
Norms idea is really good have motor vertical support it with ring magnets below...
Also review that new rotovertor circuit H has put up 20 times this last year, just like you did, bu additional "extraction" phase with HV diodes in a FWBR bringing out HV DC back into same battery the run cap phase charges via step down to 14vdc transformer, and this battery same one that runs invertor that runs the.motor so it's looping battery should not drain...but use only lead acids of course.
Bedini had patents, secrets,  death threats, and would get pissed at people he thought were "stealing" stuff from him so since he could not own rights to rotovertor since it is open source there was never any reason to explore it and what if it is something off shelf anyone can do easy it could put him out of business.
