Hi Warren 
It has a built - in permanent.magnet generatot, that is all the generator winds situated behind the motor coil winds, sharing the common ferrite core.
You could say the generator winds has its own rotor magnet too, as there are the dual rotors with the core and the motor and the  generator winds dandwiched between.
I do have a Muller generator here I could turn with shaft but first I want to see what happens with the common core dual rotor thing....
