I've done a lot of bible study.  Here are just a few thoughts that you might appreciate.
Things in the Old Testament pictured or portrayed something in the future, which is now.
Egypt pictured the Earth today with God's people enslaved

Pharaoh pictured the political system today under Satan's rule.
The Israelites enslaved by Pharaoh pictured the Christians enslaved by the political system today
Moses the liberator pictured Jesus Christ the liberator.
Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt pictured Jesus Christ leading Christians out of bondage today
The Desruction of the Red Sea pictured the destruction of Satan's political system at Armageddon today
Moses leading the Israelites through the Red Sea pictured Jesus leading Christians through Armageddon
Israelites in the wilderness for 40 years before entering the Promised Land pictured Christians during the 1000 year reign of Christ before entering the Paradise Earth.

Isralites entering the Promised Land pictured Christians entering the Paradise Earth after the 1000 years of Christ's rule.

Psalm 37:29 The righteous themselves will possess the earth and they will reside forever upon it.
Once you get a better understanding of the bible everything in the past fits in perfectly with what's happening today, and the more you understand and can see it, the more you can believe it to be the word of God.
One of the next things that is to happen is the One World Government or the New World Order is to take over the earth under the United Nations.  The UN will rule over all nations, which will have surrendered their sovereignty to it.  They hope to achieve this by 2030.
Revelation Chapter 17 speaks about the destruction of Babylon the Great, the World Empire of False Religion, which is also referred to as the Great Harlot who has prostituted herself to the world rulers.
God's people were enslaved in old Babylon for 70 years and many people are enslaved in the world Empire of False religion today and they must be released.

She is pictured as riding on the back of the scarlet coloured wild beast, which is an image or the first wild beast the political system. This beast is the UN, an eighth king and it will take control over the earth for a short time and God will put His one thought into the hearts and minds of the political rulers to carry out their one thought to give their power and authority to the UN to destroy false religion.
This is the start of Armageddon and a time of trouble that the earth has never seen before.
Can you imagine the armies of the UN fighting the Muslims while they destroy all mosques and every trace of Islam. That will sure be a lot of trouble world wide.

Then they will completely destroy every trace of the Vatican and all other religious systems.

God will use one enemy to destroy the other enemy, He will use Satan's political system to destroy Satan's religious system.
Then after the religious systems are destroyed, God, through His son Jesus Christ will destroy the UN political system and lock Satan away from mankind for 1000 years, and His son Jesus Christ will start ruling the Earth for 1000 years and bring mankind back to perfection ready for the Paradise Earth where they will live forever.
I see evidence that the Elite are going all out now to get the UN, New World Order or One World Government up and running, so it is possible they will get it in by 2030.
Buckle up and strap yourself in for a rough ride ahead.
