It's the same here, long term order Ebay, Mouser, Allied, Digi quick is
Amazon Prime. Miss scavenging the old dismantlers in Southern Cal with
the occasional goodie slipping through the security hammers at Lockheed
or Xerox or wherever because some tech had just put his heart and soul
into the project for a year and it was cancelled but cant bear to
sledgehammer the very last one so gets hidden somewhere until forgotten
and put in the normal scrap chain later on. Otherwise like you it's a 4
hour drive to Portland who may or may not have anything. Some of the
Epac's from China on Ebay are suprisingly quick. I try to stick with
Hong Kong sellers in order counterfeits less likely.
Hope you get a HV probe for Christmas or some other cool thing. Hey did
you watch the video of the guy who made the 2d servo actuated pancake
winder, pretty awesome!
