Hi Norman,

In this video 'Ray's Hobbit World Of Magnetism 1' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-irRHfS3Hg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-irRHfS3Hg) Ray keeps applying energy to the pendulum by pushing it. It doesn't look super-efficient to me. The pendulum does lift a mass but puts it back down to the start height and it probably only does reactive work by giving back the energy to the pendulum.

If the load mass can be raised without losing energy from the pendulum then he has got free energy.

Regards
Ole

Ole! agree that his approach in explaining version two is wrong! Please watch version One video which makes far more sense to me! I believe You can see the possibility of a LENZ less driving solenoid (cut & dried) and Ray's LENZ less generator pendulum.

   Hi Norman,

Just watched most of this video 'Ray's No Back EMF Generator Design 2' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRROFwwz5hQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRROFwwz5hQ).

Ron is talking about a small increase in the input power for an output power bigger than the increase of the input power. This is a wrong way of calculating the efficiency. Motors have different efficiencies depending on load. Thus this tells nothing about what really happens without consulting the datasheet of the motor or measuring the data himself.

Ron also mentions that the magnetic field of the rotor is only north poles. He forgets that magnetic fields are always forming loops. The field goes all the way through the magnet out of it and back into it at the opposite pole. The reason for having a good magnetic conductor with as small as possible air gap in motors and generators is that air is a quite bad conductor of magnetism. If using big air gaps or long magnetic paths the motor will be very big even for small power. Just take a look at early motors before the double T-armature of Werner Siemens: https://www.eti.kit.edu/english/1376.php https://www.eti.kit.edu/english/1376.php. After that motors got more power and the magnetic path was further reduced by I think Nikola Tesla: https://www.eti.kit.edu/english/1390.php https://www.eti.kit.edu/english/1390.php.

Iron, I haven't figured out what he is doing in version two! By full rotation, he seems to violate his no LENZ, no drag concept!

   Norm,

What is Ray doing in Version 2, varying the magnetic field?

Is this somewhat similar to Clemente Figuera?
