The wouxuns  KGUVD1P can open from 50 to 512 MHZ  yes full !  extra modifications are needed 
for better performance but its strange when you just push one frequency in and its stays tuned receiving at it ..

 A 3 port device with a load on one port to arrest offending power.
 They are a trip to figure out but I think they could be usefull in our OU work.
