HectorThe concept of parties has broken down, to weird factions that just hate each other.The basic boring job of running a country has become a massive power play peopled by fanatics.One needs rational adults in charge, who can carry on a conversation, negotiate the difficult decisions with both ends of the spectrum, and look at the well being of the whole population, including everybody in it, no matter how frigging crazy they are. And crazy you have lots of right now. These are people pushed to the margins by a rapidly changing World that they are unequipped to change with. They have the justified anger of being screwed by somebody, somehow, and they just don't know where to direct their anger.All they know is that things that once were good now suck.This is very bad, because a dictator can manipulate such conditions to a power advantage, creating a setup for another World war that can certainly end it all for the planet.The branding and marketing bullshit of political parties is completely counter productive to looking after each other in a civil society.Making sure we are all OK is not socialism, if even such a thing still exists as "socialism."I don't know about you, but I want to see people do well in life. That means everybody. Every skin color, every tribal group, but we have to tolerate, and embrace our shared humanity, creating a much larger inclusive group.Given the US history of genocide and slavery, with that underlying guilt, and fear of retaliation, it is not easy, especially seeing ethnic minorities getting educations, and good jobs, while poor uneducated blue collar workers find themselves without means to survive.The running of a country is serious business, requiring everybody to contribute, but all they want is a laugh, or two, and some glib television show, with a smoke, or beer, and some fried chicken.Who wants to go out and knock on doors and meet neighbors, who may very well just shoot them?You can see how isolated and cloistered the tweeters are, and how absolutely counter productive to an inclusive and civil society we are becoming.This is not right.Add the video S&M porn flick watchers, and the violent reality gamers, and you have a mix that is toxic for adult reasoning, and suitable for Mr dictator to take the reins, claiming to make it all better.Cheers Warren
