Hi Mick, in other words Mica silver or Mica capacitors have the same effect as piezo materials, what is cog? Because I with low frequencies work do I need already capacities in uf area. Under Mica can I find what. Greetings Sven

    Sven,
    Anytime one adds more capacitors Q drops as ESR increases so it
      works better if one can use the piezo for both functions, if
      possible.  Many capacitors are also piezoelectric materials such
      as the mica and COG.  Lower frequencies do not matter as much.

              Hi Sven
              Yes I have used the little piezo transformers and have
                also used disks in a tank circuit acting as the
                capacitance.   On the transformers I was able to get the
                most gain by using sine waves as they like a clean
                signal without distortion components being of high Q at
                the designed frequency. Something I need to get back to
                in order to determine more facts.
