DaveI have a Sola transformer kicking around after I scrapped my cell film animation studio in Toronto, where, as part of my special effects business, we did classic cartoon animation. When exposing chemical film, using tungsten bulbs, frame, after frame, you had to have exactly the same exposure, or it would be very noticable, if there was a voltage change, as there often was in the old Coca Cola factory where my company was located. For shooting the animation, I got a very cheap rent on a giant old walk in vault, with three foot thick walls(and no windows)I built the animation stand in my machine shop, equipped it with a superb Mitchell camera, and set it all up in the vault, down the hall.When they used the elevator, the lights would flutter, hence my need for the Sola transformer, for shooting, which could take days of perfect exposures, with exactly the same light.That is a lot of stand by power it uses.Cheers Warren

I'v seen a few Sola transformers during my carreer. They are good at cleaning up sloppy line voltages for sensitive electronics. They use resonance and magnetic shunts and waste 50 watts continuously. Nothing here that these impresses me. Microwave TX and lamp ballast TX use a magnetic shunt to to make output more predictable too.

About that quote, looks like that is a sort of constant current output from secondary sort of transformer (AKA Ferro resonant)
But what looks to be left out is the minimum amount of current and voltage needed at the primary to sustain a constant current at the secondary load so if this is some sort of overuniyy all by itself transformer i doubt it otherwise this would be mentioned by MR Tesla in patent just what expected efficiency is (maybe he does?)
As for Lenz free rotating generators if you have one That puts out around 50w and spins easy, hook.it up to a good rotovertor motor shaft and it will be OU.
