NormanFerro magnetic! If we can optimize the effect, how d.c. o we engineer it to take place.Hector has done a very clever thing with his RV, but now we want it smaller, quieter, and more powerful, because we want to use the energy, rather than gawk at it, saying "gee whiz ain't that sumptan!"

Thanks for your quick reply Norm. Did you ever check to see what your 10 hp motor was outputting for HP? What has always intrigued me is how Tesla ran his car with an 80 hp motor and no battery bank. What was in the black box that used the old electric tubes and what were the rods that seemed to be tuning forks? I am really like a fish out of water when it comes to this stuff. My background is Civil & Oil & Gas. How do you adjust the capacitance on the created phase? Are the Caps adjustable? I thought that a capacitor was hooked up and it either did the job or you used another bigger one. So if I use a couple of 8D industrial batteries to make 24 volts and direct drive a generator with a 3 ph motor I might be able to produce OU. Then I could run a 5 or 10 hp heat pump and improve the overall output?? I need electric power, heat & cooling. Thanks Norm, John

The gizmo's that are on the market to allow you to run 3 phase motors from a single phase line are available from numerous vendors. There are instructions on the NET that show you how to build your own for pennies. The whole point of Hectors research is different from these phase converters. I look at the RV experiment as a novelty and does produce O/U output with limitations. The limits are based on the slip speed of the motor you are useing. If you load the motor too heavily (out of it's slip RPM) then you loose the O/U aspects. This is why you have to use a very large motor (480 VAC, 3 phase) and run it on single phase 120VAC line power while adjusting the capacitance on the phantom, created phase. As I said, it is a novelty experiment which everyone should see for themselves but do not expect to power any big loads and get O/U. A case in point, is my 10 HP 3 phase, 460 VAC Delco motor which runs at full 1750 RPM and has great torque while pulling only .75 amps at 120VAC input. Friends are amazed over this 250 pound motor drawing less than 1 amp. I hope this helps you with your decision regards the RV experiment. You can pick up a good large 3 phase motor at any scrap yard for $20. Find some oil filled AC caps from single phase air conditioners, (compressor caps) which are rated for up to 600VAC then you are in business for less than $40. Norm

Hi Norm, We've had a dry crispy summer here in Alberta. We've had a lot of smoke from the forest fires up here. I had a couple of questions for you. You tested Hector's RV system. I had a couple of emails back and forth with him recently and he gave me a list of things I would need. I thought before I go out and spend 3or 4000 $ I better just do some more checking. I thought that Ken C tested it as well but when I asked Jerry he wasn't sure. Do you know if Ken tested it? Were you satisfied that it can produce USEABLE surplus power? Are you familar with the Smith PhaseAble TM or Enabler TM ? This gizmo runs 3 phase motors direct from single phase power very efficiently. Smith is a prof in California and has been working on this thing for 25 years I guess. I can't find a place to buy the units and don't know if they are yet available. Any help ideas etc greatly appreciated Norm and as usual I respect our confidentiality. John Day Brooks, Alberta
