Warren! Now that you asked! I worked for a large holding Company that
built two adjacent Nursing Home & Retirement structures 4 story in
height. The nursing building is all metal framing with metal roof. The
Retirement structure is all wood framing with tile roof. Lightning has
torn the crap out of the wood building causing thousands in damage to
all electronics etc. The Nursing building has sustained no damage at
all. I was asked to install Lightning Protection bur explained that
ONLY licensed and bonded folks could install due to Insurance
Underwriters. The subject was dropped! Bad decision when buildings were
planned.
