The link should show me that the re-magnetization losses are responsible for the heating of the core.
This was also a reason for me to choose the inductance as high as possible so that I can produce the same VAR performances with small currents and high voltages without overheating the core. Of course, the core only heats up when I'm moderately powering it over its specification.
