Working with carbon rods is very cheap.

made so much extra energy he had to bleed it off to control it .adding
magnets along side of the carbon rods causes the energy to go one way .but
they used diodes . this carbon seems to be at the heart of it all. Even
Tesla said it was the best carrier of this type of energy .I think it's the
holy grail of free energy. But controlling it is a another mater ..

In my most humble opinion, all of those that attempted a replication of the
CST failed to understand the working criteria of the original Valve.
The addition of the Silver tips is, I believe, by one of those replicators
and was NOT required.
*What all of these people failed to understand was that the unit operated
without a spark and was a PLASMA event that was taking place at the gap. *One
simple reason for its bottom Carbon rod to be made adjustable just to the
point where the spark extinguished.
Imagine how long the Tube would have lasted with a spark ongoing full time?
This would have been similar to the old Carbon Arc Projectors that actually
used up the Carbon rod to supply the white light and often failed as the
Carbon rod had to replaced (1940/50s).
You actually adjusted the speed of the rod being consumed for the best
lighting effect.

all of my high voltage work and where the plasma event was discovered.*
For all of those at *EV Gray* - this is what you are supposed to be here
for and more to do with respect for one another without any expletives of
any manner.
Now, I have given you some most valuable information and hope that this may
lead to you also discovering a plasma event at the spark gap without the
spark.
This is what Tesla was doing with his Magnet around the Spark Gap as he
wanted to extinguish the spark as quickly as possible as this is where the
magic begins.
There is also another modification that I have passed on here earlier with
respect to Diodes in his motor schematic.
