JamesWhere are you getting your info on New Zealand? Fox News?I was there for a couple of months, meeting scores of regular New Zealanders. I love them all.They are well informed, happy, generous to a fault, and were incredibly kind, not only to me, but with each other.This is not any oppressed country on any level, that I could see.We travelled all over in our rented vehicles, took the train, flew, stayed with locals, I was in a hospital intensive care ward, rescued by a volunteer team of people from off the side of a mountain after being thrown from a horse. There was a helicoptor at an airport but no pilot. A call went out for a pilot. Someone from a six week stint in Antarctica was on way home for Christmas passing through the airport.Answered the page in the pilot's lounge, and flew a strange chopper to rescue some old foreign dude from up on a mountain, who was playing with horses.He landed in a tiny clearing, risking life and limb,on a complete volunteer mission.I can go on, and on about New Zealanders.They have written the book on how to be nice, so Canadians might learn a thing or two.Who is teaching you all this mean shit aboutvNew Zealand, because it just isn't true.If they have cop cars, in two months, I never saw one.

We still have delusions of democracy in Canada, though it dips, and swings a bit, like a drunk, missing the lampost..For the most part, we still get home.It is not a perfect system, as it still needs refining.
