DavidIf any generator is usable, I need time to obtain larger units.Plus, not all units are suitable for drive as they may be constructed with clunky old engines supporting one end of the bearing. I gave Bart( who comes up here occassionally) a four cylinder gasoline driven generator that was taken out of an old wooden Chris Craft power boat.It was free! I have boating friends who keep an eye on the garbage bins for me at marinas, just because I ask them to look for stuff that might help for an experiment.Believe me, junk can accumulate at an awsome pace. That unit was for the exhause recirculating concept that Bart was interested in, and in the city, room and space, was of crucial concern.One had to think, even if you own your own place, each square meter was costing you money. It makes getting stuff "free" drive you crazy.For fifteen years, I have had the support of a group of friends, who have in the spirit of kindness, and curiousity, and my own credibility, supplied me with raw materials, as Canada is a very rich country, and much stuff is just discarded, when no longer needed.It has allowed me, as an artist, and a boat builder, to do things only very wealthy people could indulge in.As a unemployed graduated student, I decided to build a sailing ship.I did this in the open public space of one of Canada's largest cities, right down town, in the very guts of the waterfront, in full public view for seven years, for free, and received amazing kindness from strangers, and then, as a result of my success, professional support, giving me work oppotunities in my chosen field of film making.You may be cynical, but in spite of troubled people, I find the bulk of humanity has inside them a spirit to be involved in the collective imagination of mankind.We live through the dreams of each other, turning them into reality.Cheers warren
