The modern capacitors with thin film conductors and dielectric do not 
pack the punch and have the power of a Leyden jar!  But there is a 
difference in the storage and discharge of electrons (conventional 
electricity) and electrostatic charge.  I believe that there is a vast 
difference here.  To my line of thinking, electrostatic is pure 
potential!  As Ken Shoulders did with his charged cluster experiments, 
charged large discharge capacitors by applying a high electrocstatic 
potential to them and then discharged the caps doing work!  A method of 
converting potential (static) into dynamic (kinetic energy).
