Hi James!

Congratulations, I heard Ed Gray had several children but my interest
and that of my associates is primarily in his discoveries and
applications thereof.

I'm not a reporter nor did I intend to do a documentary on Gray or his
geneology....it goes like this;

I started KeelyNet as a BBS in 1988 for the purpose of providing and
sharing technical and related information. We moved to the Internet in
1995. During the BBS days, we accumulated many interesting files which
were freely posted and shared. Some of those files were about EV Gray,
his motors and related phenomena. I don't recall if it was 1992 or 1994
that I received an email on the BBS reporting Gray had died under
mysterious circumstances in Nevada. The email said he was working late
at night in a warehouse type lab, heard a noise, went outside to
investigate and died of an apparent heart attack. I posted this to our
discussion list, we were of course, saddened by this loss and no further
information was forthcoming. We never heard what happened with his
motors or technology.

A couple of years ago, a long time friend and associate (Norman Wootan)
called me to say the Gray motor had been found. To my delight, there
were two motors and he invited me over to check them out and take
photos. There I met Joe Gordon who described what I typed up and placed
on KeelyNet for the many who wondered what happened to Gray and his
technology.

Norman dissasembled the motors and went through the notes trying to get
a handle on how it all worked. That was over the past two years and
once he had them open, he again allowed me to photograph them and post
to my website. These actions reawakened considerable interest in Gray
and led to numerous postings and discussions on the net...

Independent of this, Peter Lindemann did an analysis of the power tube
and correlated it to some of Teslas discoveries regarding unidirectional
currents.

A video and book came out of this on the power tube and related
information. I had known Peter for a long time but not kept in touch.
He kindly sent me a copy of the videotape and yet more interest was
evoked in subsequent discussions.

I had always wanted to do another KeelyNet conference, so the timing was
perfect to carry that out in Dallas. Because of the discovery of the
motors and the synchronicity of Peters research into the power tube, the
conference was primarily based on Grays motors, his power tube and other
interests related to KeelyNet primary topics.

At that time, Grays youngest son (Patrick) contacted me via email and I
asked if he might be interested in updating us on his fathers work and
what really happened. He offered to do so for free admission to the
conference. This was late in the arrangements so I didn't have the
space for him to have an hour, so Norman offered to give him half his
time.

Patrick was not able to make it to the conference and apparently quit
his job with the car collision company he worked for as his email no
longer worked. I had no contact with any other member of Grays family
nor did I seek it as our interest was in the technology.

After the conference, I have now received emails from two other family
members, Ed Gray and now you James Gray. I also received the email from
the lady Verlinda who you now inform me is your daughter where she
kindly offered corrections as to genealogy in the interest of getting
the facts straight.

That is three sons of Gray and one grand-daughter.

I never 'researched' Ed Grays genealogy, nor did I intend to as my
primary interest is the motor technology. However, I do greatly
appreciate your input and will share it with those above who are
directly involved with the extant motors.

You indicate 'family matters' and journalistic research was done or
should have been done with regard to the family...that was never the
case, it was not my concern nor those who; I cannot emphasize enough,
were interested in E. V. Grays basic discovery and subsequent
applications and improvements.

Perhaps you should write a book about Gray, ideally including other
family members with their insights. It would certainly clear the air
regarding the relatives and their perspectives on his technology and any
oddities about what happened to Gray.

I don't claim to be a 'journalist' but I do report on interests related
to KeelyNet...that would definitely include the technology of the Gray
motors, not 'family matters' which are of no concern to me or many
others who appreciated the discoverer and his achievements, not his
progeny who apparently took other paths with their own lives.

You invite correspondence and I would appreciate that, but targeted
toward the technology and whatever insights you or your family members
might be able to provide. If the motors ran as claimed in the many
reports by 'journalists' writing for and paid by newspapers and
magazines, then the technology remains very important to easing the
energy production needs of the world.

I am highly puzzled why none of the sons carried on with their fathers
work?
Unless that has been the case and I've not seen any public information
to show it. This seems to be a pattern with many inventors whose
children were not given sufficient information to carry on the work.

Henry Moray, Sr. had two sons who apparently were not provided with all
the details so they could carry on his work, the same with Lester
Hendershott and others. Most peculiar, I would want my sons or
daughters to know everything I knew and more, at the very least to
provide clear and thorough documentation that others might be able to
carry on in the event my progeny were not interested.

You wrote;

My brother Ed and I were considerably involved with our father's
invention genesis! At the time of early 1970's, I was a mechanical
engineer
designer, I say this because I drew many of the parts for dad's motor.
Of
which, I still possess the drawings -- signed and dated in my father's
handwriting! Incidentally, he never paid me a cent for my
labor/insight,
etc.

Yes, you most definitely should consider writing a book with as much
inside information and details as you can provide, so that this
information would not be lost. It might even have sufficient clues to
enable rebuilding a working power tube to power the existing motors.

Surely, the family would love to see the Gray name be historically
recorded as a key discovery that led to energy generators and power
systems which were non polluting, POSSIBLY self running as one report
indicated and 'clean'...there are various conferences held across the
world, perhaps you or your siblings might be interested in telling the
story about Gray. A book and/or video would tie in nicely with this, it
would serve several purposes;

1) to provide accurate information about the mystery involving his
untimely death
2) to add additional insights into the motor technology
3) to provide income from the book/video sales
4) to open up possible investor opportunities for the motor technology
5) get the information out to a wide audience in an easily accessible
format

I will CC this to Norm, Peter and other parties interested in the Gray
technology. You might also consider collaborating with someone like
Peter Lindemann and/or Norman Wootan, to assist in correlating the
information and putting it together in a book and/or video format.
Peter has the experience under his belt and thats the approach I would
take.

You might get emails from others inquiring into your knowledge of the
Gray technology. You might also be interested in writing a magazine
article for Duncan Roads of Nexus, Gene Mallove or Infinite Energy or
Hal Fox/Patrick Bailey of the New Energy News as I know many of their
readers would be greatly interested in whatever additional technical
information you could provide.

These folks could assist you with the journalistic rigor you seek
though, like us, their primary interest is the technology, not the
progeny, no offense intended, we simply try to remain focused on working
hardware and applications thereof.

The big question mark now for many of us is how the power tube really
operated and how it can be successfully rebuilt. John Bedini has one
which Ed Gray showed him years ago, I believe it was in the 1980s. John
courteously provided a photo and construction details for the one he
has, perhaps you could critique this with your knowledge of it? I'm not
online at the moment, but you can view it at;

http://www.keelynet.com/evgray/powrtube.htm

It would be incredibly useful to be able to duplicate the phenomena that
Gray showed to Tom Valentine and at his demonstrations. The power tube
seems to be a key to it and I've not been made aware or found any
successful duplications of it or the phenomena other than John Bedinis'
tube.

The time is certainly NOW for practical details on how to duplicate the
claims made by Gray and observers at the time. But more importantly to
be put into USE in our everyday lives. If you have checked out
KeelyNet, you will see our primary interests are 'free energy' machines
(machines that self-run and provide sufficient energy to drive useful
loads), gravity control and electronic health. We don't waste time with
non technical UFO reports, no conspiracies or patriot diatribes either.

In closing, if you have additional technical materials or notes, I would
sincerely urge you to consider work with other family members to get all
the pieces, then either collaborating with Peter and/or Norman to
produce a book and/or video that would be historically and technically
of great importance to the many researchers intrigued by Grays claims.

You might also consider posting your information as files at KeelyNet
and/or other such sites, perhaps even creating an EVGRAY.com website. I
would be pleased to post additional technical information you might
provide which would be freely avaible to anyone interested in such
matters. We have been effectively 'online' now for some 13 years and
have yet to realize our goals of a working free energy and/or gravity
control POP (proof of principle) that anyone could verify and scale up
for practical uses.

The field is replete with scam artists selling bogus plans, errors in
measurement/calculation or flat-out delusions so we have to wade through
the coal looking for those tiny diamonds that offer insights. We try to
include as much of that on KeelyNet as possible that others might also
find it useful.

Again, thank you for writing and I look forward to future correspondence
relating to your insights about the Gray technology...

Jerry W. Decker / KeelyNet
