Yes! Sven, if you isolate the windings and capacitor from a "ground path 
" with the transformer iron grounded via earth ground!   You have to use 
a scope to determine when you get "supersaturation" on the B/H curve.  
To simulate the motor "locked rotor" condition "Super saturation" you 
would have to have a matched secondary which is "shorted" to drive iron 
into saturation! Transformers are not as easy to drive into "super 
saturation as is motors!  Hector will tell you that you will know it 
when you hear "The pig squeal"! Just as a miss tuned "RV"  it will 
"Growl at you", "big time"!
