Yes, ferrocement is as flexible as fibreglass, without the explosive shattering, with impact, like a Corvette.The plywood dome can certainly be used as a form for ferrocement. You staple square welded steel mesh over a poly plastic covered form, at least four layers, mesh. Use acrylic bonding agent substituting a portion of your mix water.This increases the tensile strength of the cement by 6 times adding enormously to the toughness and flexibility. The material will only be 1/2" thick, yet the wood dome inside is completely no longer needed for strength. It can be stripped away, if you wish.In a nut shell, so to speak, is what I did to build my schooner. That was started in 1973.Hector my friend, life is short.Build a plywood dome covered with rubber roofing membrane.Laminate the rubber to each panel, then cut strips to cover the joints after you have screwed them down. The intersections get a nice hexigon rubber patch. Paint the rubber with aluminium paint. Then, whatever you like.Yes it is almost as cheap as a tar paper shack, but it is strong as a vehicle, and so light weight that you can back pack the bits and pieces.A thoughtCheers Warren
