 The exact motor Pierre uses as the stator frame is this one:

 Which is from a Baldor 5HP 2850 RPM 50Hz 3Phase Motor, Volts 208/360/415, AMPs 13.2/7.6/6

 I should think once we get all the information and figure it all out and understand the princilple and method very well,,,, (which is almost here now since Pierre is open sourced and wants other people to give it a try and help improve upon it)  I should think most any AC motor or generator could be "configured" tp work....Pierre's has 36 slots to the stator...
 I want to try a cheap 2cycle gas motor  750W gen set as it has a 2 pole rotor in it and it could be wound like Pierre did (plus I already have one I tore apart and put bearing and plate where gas motor used to be)....seems like the stators are going to have to be re-wound no matter what you have as it does not seem very conventional wiring to the stator frame in what Pierre has.
