OleI never worried about the output voltage of my wind generator motors because the load went into deep cycle lead acid batteries with a total of 880 amp hours. This brought the voltage, no matter what it was, to the charge level of the batteries. It became, as it were, an endless consumer of the charge much like peeing in a lake. You rarely saw a fluctuation of the voltage at the batteries. They just stayed on float, yet the wind was always going up and down. This seemed to suit the batteries far better than dock power supplied electricity to conventional battery chargers, to the batteries. However with no batteries, it will take some study.
I feel it can be solved.Cheers Warren

Hi Warren,
"What is wrong with a permanent magnet motor being turned by it's shaft"
With a wound rotor it is easy to control the output voltage from the stator by changing the magnetism of the rotor. With a permanent magnet rotor the output voltage is given by the rotational speed and some constant parameters. This makes it harder to control the output voltage.

The power calculations in the videos are the apparent power VA. This is the vector sum of the real (aka active) power (W) and the reactive power (VAr). If the high current in the normal running motor (part 3) is inductive current this motor should not consume much power. But of course the high current works against the resistance of the windings which generates heat and heat dissipation is real power. I guess this is not the secret of over-unity?! It has to be combined to a super-efficient generator or pulses of power have to oscillate between the motor and generator to do the trick.

Ole

A brushed genset? What is wrong with a permanent magnet motor being turned by it's shaft. It is totally reliable for making dc power.I did that for twenty years to supply power from the wind. Now I want to switch from wind to flywheel inertia just because I have seen people doing it on videos. The apparatus looks simple enough to construct from what I have on hand.Cheers Warren

Hector,
With all due respect the RV is a bit pricey unless one has access to the 3 phase motor. Where I live there are no salvage yards for this stuff so it means about 700 bucks and funds are spread pretty thin at the moment.
Of course your right it's probably the best tool avaialble to study the effects and whats what.
After learning the RV part I don't know how much energy one can derive from the 7.5HP RV with further mods like adjustable multiphase PLL timing, freq and duty.
Of course not considering the dangerous looping type freak show DC turbine energy just something reliable and safe.
At first glance the brush genset seems a potential better source for power one can use to run ones house after proper mods.
I don't know the answer to this but you seem to.
Is there a simple way to move the RV to a multikillowatt generator or easier and less costly to use the brushed genset?
Some of the people here who have built the RV are looking for something to power a house and you have not provided the next step only hinted at it. This is why people here are sticking their heads in the wrong places.
