I think a peak triggering circuit would be right to use. At least this would be useful if the capacitors are to be discharged at their peak level. Peak level means that they don't receive any more charge or that the current stops charging them. If discharging before that moment the charging current is also connected to the load that discharges the capacitors.

The impedance for a full discharge in max a half cycle can also be calculated. Or the max voltage for a full discharge into some given impedance in max a half cycle can be calculated.

The circuit you're using is a variable phase controller. It doesn't prevent firing before the capacitors are fully charged. The voltage could be phase shifted 90 degrees and then triggering could be done by using a zero voltage detector. Else the current could be monitored and then triggering when the current declines to zero.

 I have taken over from jöretronik, but then with potentiometers at R2 and P used.
 
 I have now seen circuits where a potentiometer is connected directly to the trigger capacitor or with resistor, one has advantages?
 
 Maybe it's just because of my Thyristorzündung that the thyristor can not ignite later.

 I said what else could I test on the transverter to get positive results or adjust.
 
 I try again to make all components the same as possible or adapt.
 
 I always have better performance with negative diode plugs, no matter how I change the polarity or the capacitors. The average power and peak is always much higher there, sometimes 15 to 20 volts, so I do not get natural synchronicity with the main LC.
