SvenI have finally been able to see your youtube videoAs usual, a very fine set up, you present.I am a bit puzzled at what I am seeing, however. There is the sound of a steady hum, broken at intervals by what seems to be the sound of an idling diesel engine, with the oscilloscope dual images broken into a range of un synchronized, yet longer enduring voltage clumps.I refer to them as 'clumps" as they don't appear to be an identical train of signals. What are you doing to make this happen? What should the scope look like when you are in resonance, or is resonance even a goal? What I thought was being done is capturing little clumps of energy from the primary windings in a non reflective manner. The diode plug is there to stop the energy from circling back to the AC source. The capacitors are there to contain each pulse of the AC, hold it for a time, then release it through another diode, to yet another capacitor, thus cutting off that path of return of reflection, of Lenz's law, and hopefully breaking that energy in, and energy out, connection. It might be helpful when making a video of what you are doing, to cut the camera position shot, go to another view, to show a close up of what you are doing to try to create a change, then go back to the first position of the camera to show the result. It is a bit of trouble switching camera positions, turning off the camera between shots, remounting the camera to the alternative view, but the resulting video becomes so much more communicative, and understandable to watch. If you are by yourself, this is a pain in the ass to shoot. If you could have a friend help, doing the shooting, while you do the experiment, the camera could follow the actions you are making in close up, then go to the scope to see the graphic results. This is not a criticism, my gosh, it is a luxury just to see what you are doing, and having it shared with us.I am only trying to help with concepts of telling a story, using sound, and pictures, in a more efficient way for presentation to the public.Relate the circuit diagram to the live picture, perhaps with a dollar store laser pointer, then cutting to the actual component can give ignorant people like me, a quick, and easy referance to what is being discussed, or is of interest in the picture, focusing the audience on what you find significant. To see what I am refering to, watch advertisements from major companies products with out sound, just to watch the flow of information, and how the story is conveyed in such a short interval of time. What you will see is a sequence of pictures, that take your mind through concepts, to reveal the product, and how it might be what you want.Telling that story in 30 seconds is a challenge. Most of our experiments take much longer, and might even take 30 seconds, to figure out what you are looking at, let alone, tell the whole story. In short, try cutting, to the thing you are actually changing, or moving, then go back to the shot showing what difference it makes, say, on the scope, where you see the image change from 1st position, to 2nd position.( the change, if any)Cheers Warren

Hello Warren,

The Variacs should be individually adjustable to tune the system, it may be that a Variac at the same setting has a slightly higher impedance than the other.

Prinzipiel are the 3 individual Variacs which are mechanically interconnected. If you have two single ones I would take those. Yesterday I made a new video and also discovered new bugs or problems that I first missed. Ole already pointed that out to me.
