I've uploaded a picture of it but these are not high voltage coils but simply very old uncapputable Variacs from former DDR RFT variable transformers, very low internal resistance and they can set up to 10 amps from 0 to 250 volts.

But you have a Variac yourself, that's nothing special. Actually, only a transformer with a winding which is tapped on a grinder. I only use the zero contact and the wiper contact so i can set the impedance from 0 to max. Stepless adjustment.

Yes, in radio technology, the signal has been set via rotary capacitors, which is certainly cheaper to manufacture, unfortunately, you can not produce large capacities in this way.

Surprise me anyway that no one has come up with the idea to use Variacs to make the impedance adjustable at least what Transverter and Rotoverter concerned.
