I have here nor 2 230v / 24v Transformers 1kva which could be found for testing even take I think pulse firmly and well according to wrap for induktivitäts adaptation. greetings Sven

On the contrary they are larger due to the 50CPS AC frequency

microwave transformers are somewhat magical in pulse region performance ,

(H)  230VAC  means larger impedance in input but same 1.1KV at output than the 120VAC  one ,,,

and you will have near the 1:5  ratio for hendershot type performance at smaller capacitance ,

Thank you Hector, you wrote that again. I live in Germany our MOTs are operated with 230V I could imagine that our transformers are smaller and then still big enough. I'll see what I can get. In which milli Henry area I should move would also be helpful and transformer performance kva then man could also take something else like audio trafos or Variacs as adjustable impedance etc. Regards Sven

the 120V primary  the seucundary may be used 4200 volts push pull series to drive a HV neon transformer 5KV EVgray , akula, kapenadze style alike a TESLA coil but using a transformer  yep! spark gaps !

Hi Sven

Hectors says the "primary" of two "matched" Microwave overn power transformers....by them being matched I think you will have to find two that have exactly the same inductance to them.....

Also I wonder if he means to discharge your capacitors into the "secondary" not the "primary" of a MOT (Microwave Oven Transformer)nas the secondary ia usually described to be the side with the very thin wire, the primary side has the very thick wire......I don't know I am wondering if this has been lost in translation which is primary which is secondary........

Also there is the choice of the two MOTs in series or in parallel....if I were you, I would dump you caps into two MOTs in series, and have the secondary (thin wires) be in series for very high impedance, then let the MOTS kick down the voltage on their own, and now you have usable easy to work with much lower voltages to put into load or further into diode plug however that works.

ciao
