Hi Kone,

"This attempt to explain the 8W output and 4 W input in Kurt Kokinenes video..."
Don't believe his calculations that aren't based on measurements. He calculates the resistance of the LED lamp to be 33 Ohm at 12V. But Kurt actually applies 16.95V to the lamp. LEDs are diodes which are very nonlinear devices. To drive them with a voltage like 12V they must have a series resistor or a regulator to limit the current. If not doing so even a slight change in the voltage gives a big change in the current. Thus the 33 Ohm at 12V will change when applying 16.95V to the lamp. He should have measured the current at 16.95V to calculate the resistance at that voltage and current. If the lamp has a high efficient regulator built in its consumption will stay almost constant. If having resistors to dump the excess voltage its consumption is bigger than what was calculated. Thus no useful conclusion can be drawn with the limited data available.

Regards
Ole

 Hi Sven
I do not think exactly that the load on the seconaries in a BiTT "reduces the magnetism" but rather the inherent backemf forces that usually will reflect back to the primary are given an "alternate road" and magnetic pahtway tto follow, and that is to go right over and across the primary, into the opposing secondary which gives more power to output of secondaues as well as "reducing the magnetism" in the primary (no reflection of power to the primary)...so nothing diminished, it is just re-routed to not affect the primary...
This attempt to explain the 8W output and 4 W input in Kurt Kokinenes video, as where does that 4 W come from??:
