Hello Hector and all,

I know that this topic has already been discussed very much but I still have an understanding problem.

It's about the fact that the xenon bulb acts as a switch that lights up at the same time. By discharging the capacitor through the coil, a strong magnetic pulse is generated in the coil.

I'm just wondering that impulse is opposite to the source. This is how the freewheeling diodes work. The polarity is the other way around. How can this coil which acts as an energy source now charge the capacitor?

If I now take a transformer as a coil and return the secondary coil back into the capacitor I could understand that.

I would be very happy.

I do not want to contribute anything to the topic of flat earth.
