I would bet anything that you will get a different story according to who wrote the piece and what political views they have here is one of those so far this is the only one I looked up,I always like to look up numerous articles and see how they compare.Have you came back to the US yet or getting close to time to return. And there are different people that had relationships with others just like Daniel Boone he was friends with Indians when he could be ,the one that captured him and made a slave of him had been in his house and stuck his feet under his table numerous times then when he got a chance to overpower Daniel he made a slave of him (evil is tolerant until dominate) in other words evil will be your friend until they get a chance to stab you in the back so stay vigilant and powerful.

Who was the first country to abolish slavery?
1792 - Denmark bans import of slaves to its West Indies colonies, although the law only took effect from 1803... 1807 - Britain passes Abolition of the Slave Trade Act, outlawing British Atlantic slave trade. - United States passes legislation banning the slave trade, effective from start of 1808.but was never enforced .

In Colonial days, "capitalism worked" since the economy then, and in future too, is and was based on SLAVERY of africans, and RACIST EXTERMINATION of the Native indian tribes and Mexican people (all for the benefit of the rich of course since that is the beauty of capitalism) That's the USA how it started, and where it still is now.
Revolutionary war started day after Britain abolished slavery in the US Colonies look it up....Britain had slavery illegal for 100 years before 1776 they decided to make it illegal in the US colonies and war started next day....All indian tribes fought on the side of the British...George Washington was an out of control murdering butcher and killed and starved 100s of thousands natives during the Revolutionary war that's what the rich wanted as a president.
