Hi Sven,

Inductive impedance is frequency dependent. The higher the frequency the higher the impedance gets. This is exactly the opposite of capacitive impedance.

This is also the reason for zero impedance at the frequency where the capacitive impedance equals the inductive impedance when connected in series. One is positive while the other is negative (the imaginary part when using complex math) and therefore they cancel out. The frequency where they cancel out is the resonant frequency.
