Hello Mick, I uploaded a drawing that Hector gave us. With the extra turns I would want to extract energy from the system via the diodes. Run the engine as a prime mover is brought to synchronous speed via another engine. You can operate these motors so ixh have a self-built 1-phase inverter operated one I've uploaded a video about it. The inverter has not endured in spite of huge 1200v igbts. Greetings Sven

Hi Sven,
Nice motor!
This is definitely a Hector question as how best to utilize this motor depending on ones budget.
Using another belt to start is a good idea if running in pulse mode. For the prime mover in RV mode beyond the normal single phase and capacitor pseudo-phase I think a multi phase controller one would still use the position sensors such as hall in order to place the pulses properly in relation to the others, or it may not work at all in RV mode with the 3 phase controller without feedback phase sync.
This is a really great Hector question!!!
If it were me to keep it simple I would use a single phase full sine VFD and the capacitor RV trick and play with speeds and duty to return the highest efficiency. Likely wire for 4x the input voltage to match the standard RV impedance ratio. If run in this respect I assume the full sine would be better, another Hector question, since he is the motor guru.

It is a Siemens 1 FT 3 phase motor from the industry. The 3 phases are led out multifilar. From each phase I have created 6 phases that I can connect to extremely high impedance or too low. I had already thought about the engine via another via V-belt to synchronous speed to bring and then operate as a Rotoverter Primemover or test. Accurate characteristics I would have to look up to 400v Regards Sven

Sven,
What size and voltage is your motor?
How did you rewire it?
How many phases is it?
As you know a synchronous motor is most likely to use a VFD sine controller while the BLDC is a pulse controller. I think a synchronous AC can run with an BLDC controller but not as well as the controller is pulsed rather than sine.
We used audio amplifiers and frequency gens to control low paoer single phase synch motors in the past.
